Glanz in Dubai, Anfang auf Hawaii: Die DP World Tour läutet den International Swing ein, die PGA Tour startet ohne gewohntes Opening-Event ins neue Jahr. Golf im TV ist live dabei.
The International Swing of the DP World Tour kicks off with the Dubai Invitational at the Dubai Creek Resort. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood faces a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, and Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The event features a Pro-Am format with 60 professionals and 60 amateurs before the professionals compete for the title on Sunday. German players Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem mark the season’s start under the German flag.
The PGA Tour begins its 2026 season unusually: due to ongoing drought, The Sentry in Kapalua was canceled. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu opens the new season. The competition offers $9.1 million in prize money and the first FedExCup points of the year. Defending champion Nick Taylor competes alongside former winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. German representative Matti Schmid also takes part.
