Golf on TV: World-Class Kickoff in Dubai, PGA Season Starts in Hawaii

Shining in Dubai, starting in Hawaii: The DP World Tour kicks off the International Swing, PGA Tour begins the new year without its usual opening event. Golf on TV live.

The International Swing of the DP World Tour starts with the Dubai Invitational at the Dubai Creek Resort. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood faces a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari as well as Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The tournament is played in a Pro-Am format (60 pros, 60 amateurs), with only the pros competing for the title on Sunday. Under the German flag, Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem kick off the new season.
The PGA Tour season 2026 starts unusually: Due to ongoing drought, The Sentry in Kapalua has been canceled. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu opens the new season. There is a prize money of 9.1 million dollars and the first FedExCup points of the season at stake. Defending champion Nick Taylor is participating, as well as past winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. Representing Germany is Matti Schmid.
