The first official tournaments wait until next week, but LIV Golf’s Promotions Event is underway with players fighting to qualify.
The LIV Golf Promotions Event 2026 sees players competing for spots in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The tournament takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players in the tournament will earn full starting positions in the LIV Golf League 2026. Additionally, the top 10 players (including ties) automatically qualify for the International Series 2026.
The tournament is played over four rounds of stroke play. After round 1, the top 20 players and ties qualify for round 2, with scores reset. The same procedure applies after round 2, where again the top 20 players advance to rounds 3 and 4. Rounds 3 and 4 are played with cumulative scoring. A playoff only occurs if needed to determine the winner or second and third places.
