The first official tournaments wait till next week, but LIV Golf’s Promotions Event begins as players vie for 2026 league spots. Golf on TV is live.
At the LIV Golf Promotions Event 2026, players compete for starting spots in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The tournament takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players will earn full starting positions for the 2026 LIV Golf League. Additionally, the top 10 (including ties) will automatically qualify for the 2026 International Series.
The competition is played over four rounds of stroke play. After Round 1, the top 20 players and ties advance to Round 2, with scores reset. The same applies after Round 2, where the top 20 move on to Rounds 3 and 4. The third and fourth rounds use cumulative scoring. A playoff will only occur if necessary to determine the winner or the second and third places.
