The first official tournaments have to wait until next week, but LIV Golf’s Promotions Event is underway as players vie for qualification spots.
At the LIV Golf Promotions Event 2026, players compete for starting positions in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The tournament takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players in the tournament will earn a full starting spot for the 2026 LIV Golf League season. Additionally, the top 10 players (including ties) automatically qualify for the 2026 International Series.
The event is played over four rounds of stroke play. After round 1, the top 20 players and ties advance to round 2, with scores reset. The same process applies after round 2, when the top 20 players advance to rounds 3 and 4. Rounds 3 and 4 are played with cumulative scoring. A playoff only occurs if necessary to determine the winner or to decide second and third place positions.
