The week kicks off in the Bahamas with the Korn Ferry Tour. The first round of the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic is underway at the Great Abaco Club on Winding Bay. After play was suspended due to darkness, Monday promises a long day of golf. The best round at the clubhouse stands at -5, with Ben Taylor holding a lead of -6 after 15 holes.
The DP World Tour remains in Dubai, moving to Emirates GC. The Hero Dubai Desert Classic starts Thursday with seven German-speaking players competing, including Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Marcel Siem, Marcel Schneider, Joel Girrbach, Freddy Schott, Bernd Wiesberger, and Jeremy Paul. International star power is also present, with four-time tournament winner Rory McIlroy among the favorites for the title again this year.
On the PGA Tour, the season also starts Thursday at the Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California. Scottie Scheffler kicks off his 2026 golf year aiming to build on his stellar 2025 season. A title at the American Express Championship is still missing from the world No. 1’s portfolio. Austrian defending champion Sepp Straka returns, with German players Stephan Jäger and Matti Schmid representing their country.
The PGA Tour Champions season begins with the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hualalai, running Friday through Sunday. German legends Bernhard Langer and Alex Cejka are in the field, alongside competitors like Vijay Singh, who has warmed up with a made cut on the PGA Tour the prior week in Hawaii.
