The week kicks off in the Bahamas with the Korn Ferry Tour at the Great Abaco Club on Winding Bay, where the first round of the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic is underway. After play was suspended due to darkness, Monday promises a full day of golf. The clubhouse lead stands at -5, with Ben Taylor holding a -6 lead after 15 holes.
The DP World Tour remains in Dubai, moving to Emirates GC for the Hero Dubai Desert Classic starting Thursday. The field features seven German-speaking players including Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Marcel Siem, Marcel Schneider, Joel Girrbach, Freddy Schott, Bernd Wiesberger, and Jeremy Paul. International star power is also present, with four-time tournament winner Rory McIlroy among the top favorites.
On the PGA Tour, the season starts Thursday at Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California. Scottie Scheffler begins his 2026 campaign aiming to build on his stellar 2025 year. The World Number 1 has yet to claim a title at the American Express Championship. Austria’s defending champion Sepp Straka returns, alongside German representatives Stephan Jäger and Matti Schmid.
The PGA Tour Champions season begins with the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hualalai from Friday to Sunday. Legends including Bernhard Langer and Alex Cejka, both Germans, take part. Competition also includes Vijay Singh, who warmed up with a PGA Tour cut made last week in Hawaii.
