The week kicks off in the Bahamas with the Korn Ferry Tour. The first round of the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic is underway at the Great Abaco Club on Winding Bay. After play was interrupted by darkness, Monday promises a long day of golf. The best score at the clubhouse stands at -5, while Ben Taylor holds the lead at -6 through 15 holes.
The DP World Tour remains in Dubai, moving to Emirates Golf Club. The Hero Dubai Desert Classic starts Thursday with seven German-speaking players competing, including Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Marcel Siem, Marcel Schneider, Joel Girrbach, Freddy Schott, Bernd Wiesberger, and Jeremy Paul. International star power is also on display with four-time tournament winner Rory McIlroy among the favorites for the title again this year.
The PGA Tour also begins Thursday at the Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California, where Scottie Scheffler kicks off his 2026 golf season. After a dream year in 2025, he aims to build on his success. The world No. 1 has yet to claim the American Express Championship title. Defending Austrian champion Sepp Straka returns, alongside German players Stephan Jäger and Matti Schmid representing their countries.
On the PGA Tour Champions, the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hualalai takes place Friday through Sunday with legends teeing off. Two Germans, Bernhard Langer and Alex Cejka, are in the field, facing competition from Vijay Singh, who warmed up with a made cut on the PGA Tour the previous week in Hawaii.
