The week kicks off in the Bahamas with the Korn Ferry Tour. The first round of the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic is underway at The Great Abaco Club on Winding Bay. After play was suspended due to darkness, Monday promises a long day of golf. The clubhouse lead stands at -5, while Ben Taylor still needs to hold on to his -6 lead through 15 holes.
The DP World Tour remains in Dubai, moving to the Emirates Golf Club. The Hero Dubai Desert Classic begins Thursday with seven German-speaking players competing. Alongside Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem are Marcel Schneider, Joel Girrbach, Freddy Schott, Bernd Wiesberger, and Jeremy Paul. International star power is also strong, with four-time winner Rory McIlroy among the favorites for the title this year.
The PGA Tour also starts on Thursday at the Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California. Scottie Scheffler kicks off his 2026 golf season aiming to build on his dream year in 2025. A title at The American Express Championship still eludes the world number one. Austrian defending champion Sepp Straka returns, alongside German representatives Stephan Jäger and Matti Schmid.
The PGA Tour Champions season opens at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hualalai from Friday to Sunday. Legends including Bernhard Langer and Alex Cejka are in the field, with competition from Vijay Singh, who warmed up last week in Hawaii by making the PGA Tour cut.
