The first official tournaments have to wait until next week, but LIV Golf’s Promotions Event is underway as players vie for qualification spots.
The LIV Golf Promotions Event 2026 sees players compete for starting spots in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The tournament takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players in the tournament will earn a full starting spot for the LIV Golf League 2026. Additionally, the top 10 players (including ties) automatically qualify for the International Series 2026.
The tournament is played over four rounds of stroke play. After Round 1, the top 20 players and ties advance to Round 2, with scores reset. The same applies after Round 2, where again the top 20 players proceed to Rounds 3 and 4. Rounds 3 and 4 are played with cumulative scoring. A playoff occurs only if required to determine the winner or the second and third places.
