The first official tournaments wait until next week, but the LIV Golf Promotions Event for player qualification is live on TV.
At the LIV Golf Promotions Event 2026, players compete for starting positions in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The tournament takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players will earn a full starting spot for the LIV Golf League 2026. Additionally, the top 10 players (including ties) automatically qualify for the International Series 2026.
The event is played over four rounds of stroke play. After round 1, the top 20 players and ties advance to round 2, with scores reset. The same applies after round 2, with the top 20 moving onto rounds 3 and 4. Rounds 3 and 4 are played with cumulative scoring. A playoff only takes place if necessary to determine the winner or the second and third places.
