This week also marks the start of the LIV Golf season with the opener in Riyadh featuring several changes, both in personnel and organization. The most notable change is the extension to 72 holes, meaning four rounds and four tournament days. Sky Sports will broadcast all four days live, and LIV Golf coverage continues on DAZN.
In addition to LIV Golf, Sky Sports is bringing coverage of another rarely televised event this week: the R&A’s Africa Amateur Championship. Scheduled from February 4 to 7, 2026, at the Royal Johannesburg Golf Course in South Africa, players will compete on the prestigious East Course. The winner earns a spot in the 154th Open at Royal Birkdale and the 2026 Amateur Championship.
