Golf on TV: World-Class Kickoff in Dubai, PGA Season Starts in Hawaii

Shining in Dubai, beginning in Hawaii: The DP World Tour kicks off the International Swing, while the PGA Tour starts the year without its usual opening event. Golf on TV is live.

The Dubai Invitational marks the start of the DP World Tour’s International Swing at Dubai Creek Resort. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood faces a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, and Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The format features 60 pros paired with 60 amateurs in a Pro-Am, before professionals compete for the title on Sunday. Representing Germany are Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem, who kick off their new season under the German flag.

The PGA Tour begins its 2026 season unusually: Due to ongoing drought, The Sentry in Kapalua was canceled. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu opens the new season. The players compete for $9.1 million and the season’s first FedExCup points. Defending champion Nick Taylor returns, along with former winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. Germany is represented by Matti Schmid.
