Golf on TV: World-Class Start in Dubai, PGA Tour Opens in Hawaii

Shining in Dubai, starting in Hawaii: The DP World Tour kicks off the International Swing, the PGA Tour begins the new year without its usual opening event. Live golf on TV.

The Dubai Invitational marks the start of the International Swing of the DP World Tour at the Dubai Creek Resort. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood faces a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, and Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The event is played in a pro-am format (60 professionals, 60 amateurs), before only professionals compete for the title on Sunday. Under the German flag, Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem kick off the new season.
On the PGA Tour, the 2026 season begins unusually: Due to ongoing drought, The Sentry at Kapalua was canceled. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu opens the new season. The tournament offers $9.1 million in prize money and the first FedExCup points of the season. Defending champion Nick Taylor will be competing along with past winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. Representing Germany is Matti Schmid.
