Golf on TV: Top Start in Dubai, PGA Season Kickoff in Hawaii

Shining in Dubai, starting in Hawaii: The DP World Tour kicks off the International Swing, PGA Tour begins the new year without its usual opening event. Golf on TV is live.

The Dubai Invitational marks the start of the DP World Tour’s International Swing at Dubai Creek Resort. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood faces a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, and Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The event is played in a Pro-Am format (60 pros, 60 amateurs), with only the pros competing for the title on Sunday. Representing Germany, Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem kick off the new season.

The PGA Tour’s 2026 season begins unusually: Due to ongoing drought, The Sentry in Kapalua was cancelled. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu starts the new season. The prize fund is 9.1 million dollars and includes the first FedExCup points of the year. Defending champion Nick Taylor participates, along with past winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. German representation comes from Matti Schmid.
