Golf on TV: World-Class Start in Dubai, PGA Season Kicks Off in Hawaii

The DP World Tour begins its International Swing in Dubai, while the PGA Tour starts the new year unusually without its traditional opener. Live golf on TV.

The International Swing of the DP World Tour kicks off with the Dubai Invitational at the Dubai Creek Resort. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood faces a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, and Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The event plays in a Pro-Am format with 60 pros and 60 amateurs before the professionals compete for the title on Sunday. Representing Germany, Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem mark the start of the new season.

The 2026 PGA Tour season opens unusually: due to ongoing drought conditions, The Sentry in Kapalua was canceled. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu kicks off the new season, with $9.1 million in prize money and the first FedExCup points at stake. Defending champion Nick Taylor returns, along with former winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. German hope Matti Schmid also competes.
