Shine in Dubai, start in Hawaii: The DP World Tour kicks off the International Swing, the PGA Tour starts the new year without its usual opening event. Golf on TV is live.
The Dubai Invitational marks the beginning of the International Swing of the DP World Tour at Dubai Creek Resort. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood faces a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, and Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The event is played in a Pro-Am format (60 pros, 60 amateurs), before only the pros compete for the title on Sunday. Under the German flag, Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem kick off the new season.
The PGA Tour starts the 2026 season unusually: Due to ongoing drought, The Sentry in Kapalua was canceled. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu opens the new season. The prize purse totals $9.1 million with the first FedExCup points of the season up for grabs. Defending champion Nick Taylor competes alongside past winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. Representing Germany is Matti Schmid.
