The DP World Tour kicks off the International Swing in Dubai, while the PGA Tour begins its season in Hawaii without its usual opening event. Live golf on TV is on air.
The Dubai Invitational marks the start of the DP World Tour’s International Swing at Dubai Creek Resort. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood faces a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, and Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The event features a Pro-Am format with 60 professionals and 60 amateurs before the pros compete for the title on Sunday. Under the German flag, Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem kick off the new season.
On the PGA Tour, the 2026 season starts unusually: due to ongoing drought, The Sentry in Kapalua was canceled. Instead, the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu opens the new season, playing for $9.1 million and the first FedExCup points. Defending champion Nick Taylor is joined by past winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. German hope Matti Schmid also competes.
