Shining in Dubai, starting in Hawaii: The DP World Tour kicks off the International Swing, the PGA Tour begins the year without its usual opening event. Golf on TV is live.
The DP World Tour’s International Swing starts with the Dubai Invitational at the Dubai Creek Resort. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood faces a star-studded field including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, and Masters champions like Patrick Reed. The event is played in a Pro-Am format (60 professionals, 60 amateurs), with only professionals competing for the title on Sunday. Under the German flag, Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem kick off the new season.
The PGA Tour opens its 2026 season unconventionally: due to ongoing drought, The Sentry in Kapalua was canceled. Instead, the Sony Open at the Waialae Country Club in Honolulu starts the new season, competing for $9.1 million and the first FedExCup points of the year. Defending champion Nick Taylor returns, along with past winners and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. German golfer Matti Schmid also represents his country.
