The first official tournaments wait until next week, but the LIV Golf Promotion Event is underway with players vying to qualify. Golf on TV is live.
At the LIV Golf Promotion Event 2026, players compete for starting spots in the upcoming season of the LIV Golf League. The tournament takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players of the tournament will receive a full starting spot for the LIV Golf League 2026. Additionally, the top 10 players (including ties) will automatically qualify for the International Series 2026.
The tournament is played over four rounds of stroke play. After round 1, the top 20 players and ties qualify for round 2, with the scores reset. The same applies after round 2, when again the top 20 advance to rounds 3 and 4. Rounds 3 and 4 are played with cumulative scoring. A playoff will only occur if needed to determine the winner or the second and third place positions.
