The PGA Tour kicks off this week at the Genesis Invitational in Pacific Palisades, California’s \”Golden State,\” at the Riviera Country Club, hosted by Tiger Woods. While only Matti Schmid from the German-speaking region will showcase his skills, the tournament features a high-caliber field of prominent names competing for vital points in the Official World Golf Ranking. The prize fund totals $20,000,000. Defending champion Ludvig Åberg will compete alongside world number one Scottie Scheffler. Other top players include Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Collin Morikawa, Russell Henley, J.J. Spaun, and many more completing the elite roster. MagentaTV will broadcast all four tournament days live.
The DP World Tour heads to Kenya for the Magical Kenya Open in the capital, Nairobi. There are significantly more German-speaking players on the entry list here. Freddy Schott from Düsseldorf, already very successful this season, is joined by Marcel Siem, Marcel Schneider, Joel Girrbach, Bernd Wiesberger, and Maximilian Steinlechner from the DACH region, although the field is traditionally dominated by Kenyan players. MagentaTV will also broadcast all four days live.
The LPGA Tour travels to Pattaya, Thailand, for the Honda LPGA Thailand. Esther Henseleit from the German-speaking region is participating this week. This tournament will be broadcast live by Sky Sports Golf.
