The first official tournaments wait until next week, but LIV Golf’s Promotions Event kicks off with players vying for qualification. Live golf on TV.
At the LIV Golf Promotions Event 2026, players compete for starting spots in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The tournament takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players in the tournament will earn a full start in the LIV Golf League 2026. Additionally, the top 10 players (including ties) automatically qualify for the International Series 2026.
The event is played over four rounds of stroke play. After round 1, the best 20 players plus ties qualify for round 2, with scores reset. The same applies after round 2, when again the top 20 advance to rounds 3 and 4. Rounds 3 and 4 are played with cumulative scoring. A playoff occurs only if necessary to determine the winner or the second and third places.
