The first official tournaments await next week, but LIV Golf’s Promotions Event sees players compete for spots live on TV.
At the LIV Golf Promotions Event 2026, players battle for starting positions in the upcoming LIV Golf League season. The tournament takes place from January 8 to 11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The top three players will earn full tour cards for the LIV Golf League 2026. Additionally, the top 10 players (including ties) automatically qualify for the International Series 2026.
The tournament is played over four rounds of stroke play. After Round 1, the top 20 players and ties advance to Round 2, with scores reset. The same applies after Round 2, when the top 20 move on to Rounds 3 and 4. Rounds 3 and 4 are played with cumulative scoring. A playoff is only held if necessary to determine the winner or the second and third places.
