This week also marks the start of the LIV Golf season. The kickoff takes place in Riyadh with several changes, both in personnel and organization. Notably, the tournament extends to 72 holes, meaning four rounds and four playing days. Sky broadcasts all four days live, and LIV Golf remains available on DAZN.
Besides LIV Golf, Sky also covers another rarely live-broadcasted event this week: The R&A-hosted Africa Amateur Championship. It runs from February 4th to 7th, 2026, at Royal Johannesburg in South Africa. Players compete on the renowned East Course, with the winner earning a spot at the 154th Open at Royal Birkdale and the 2026 Amateur Championship.
Magenta TV and the DP World Tour continue with the Qatar Masters in the Middle East, but the biggest celebration this week is in Phoenix. Traditionally held during Super Bowl weekend, the PGA Tour competes at the TPC Scottsdale with the WM Phoenix Open, featuring the iconic 16th hole as the highlight.
