Top Golf Events in 2026: Majors, Solheim Cup & Key Tournaments

Majors, Solheim Cup and four major events in the German-speaking region: your overview of the key golf dates in 2026. 

The 2026 season promises golf fans a full calendar of events. From the prestigious men’s and women’s Majors to the Solheim Cup and tournaments across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, there is much to look forward to.

Men’s Majors: Tradition, Prestige, and Iconic Venues

The men’s Major season traditionally kicks off from April 9-12 with the legendary Masters. Following Rory McIlroy’s historic career Grand Slam win at the 2025 Masters as the first European to achieve this, he returns as defending champion at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, USA. In mid-May, the PGA Championship takes place from May 4-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Newton Square, Pennsylvania. The summer continues with the US Open from June 18-21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York, where American J.J. Spaun claimed the title in 2025. The men’s Major season concludes traditionally with the Open Championship from July 16-19 at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England. After Scottie Scheffler’s success at the PGA Championship, he secured his second Major title of the year at The Open.

Women’s Majors and the Solheim Cup

The 2026 women’s golf calendar is equally thrilling. It begins with the Chevron Championship from April 23-26 in Texas. About six weeks later, from June 4-7, the US Women’s Open presented by Ally will be held at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. Swedish player Maja Stark celebrated her first Major victory and European title in 19 years at last year’s US Women’s Open. This is followed by the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship from June 25-28 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. In July, the Amundi Evian Championship takes place from July 9-12 at Evian Resort Golf Club, France, and the Major season closes with the AIG Women’s Open from July 30-August 2 at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club in Lancashire, England.
