The 2026 season offers fans a packed calendar filled with prestigious events ranging from the men’s and women’s Majors to the Solheim Cup and top tournaments in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Men’s Majors: Tradition, Prestige, and Iconic Venues
The men’s Major season kicks off with the legendary Masters from April 9-12 at Augusta National Golf Club, Georgia, USA. Rory McIlroy, who achieved a career slam by winning the Masters in 2025, will return as the defending champion. The PGA Championship follows from May 4-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania. June 18-21 hosts the US Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, New York, where J.J. Spaun won in 2025. The season concludes with The Open from July 16-19 at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in England, with last season’s double Major winner Scottie Scheffler defending his title.
Women’s Majors and the Solheim Cup
The women’s Majors also promise exciting competition, starting with the Chevron Championship from April 23-26 in Texas. The US Women’s Open presented by Ally takes place June 4-7 at Riviera Country Club, California, where Maja Stark claimed Europe’s first major title in 19 years in 2025. The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship follows June 25-28 at Hazeltine National Golf Club, Minnesota. In July, the Amundi Evian Championship runs July 9-12 in Evian-les-Bains, France, and the AIG Women’s Open concludes the Majors from July 30-August 2 at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club in England. The 2026 Solheim Cup, the premier women’s team event held biennially, will be played September 11-13 at Bernards Golf in Den Bosch, Netherlands, featuring stars such as Anne Van Dam, Anna Nordqvist, Caroline Hedwall, and Mel Reid representing Team Europe.

Fans in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland have opportunities to witness top-tier professional golf firsthand with four prominent tournaments. The DP World Tour’s Austrian Alpine Open takes place May 28-31 at Golfclub Kitzbühel Schwarzsee-Reith. The BMW International Open follows July 2-5 at Golfclub München Eichenried, featuring 17 German-speaking players in 2025. On the Ladies European Tour, the Amundi German Masters is scheduled May 14-17 at the Green Eagle Golf Courses near Hamburg, showcasing strong performances from German players in 2025. The VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open is held August 13-15 at Migros Golfpark Holzhäusern, Switzerland.
