Srixon ZXiR: New Irons Offering More Support in the Long Game

Srixon expands its iron lineup for golfers seeking more support in their long game.

Srixon raises the bar in the category of game-improvement irons with the new ZXiR and ZXiR HL irons. These models target golfers looking for extra support and comfort in their shots. Some seek more distance, others desire more control or simply a better feel at impact. The new versions provide fresh options without compromising design, easing entry into the ZXi iron family with a combination of soft feel and high forgiveness.

Srixon: New Material, New Feel

At the core of the development is a new material: i-ALLOY. According to Srixon, it is about 10% softer than typical 431 stainless steel, leading to reduced vibrations and a softer impact feel. Coupled with an updated face technology, called the MainFrame pattern, it delivers a smoother strike and higher ball speed. Moreover, the sweet spot placement corresponds with where most players need it.

Visually, the irons stay true to the ZXi series signature: cavity-back design and slim toplines with some modifications. Wider soles, longer faces, and more offset aim to provide confidence at address. The HL variant is tailored for players with slower club head speeds focusing on higher launch angles, helping those needing assistance with ball flight.

Fitting and Selection – Beyond Standard

The ZXi family now includes seven models, ensuring suitable options for almost every swing profile. Like previous models, the ZXiR irons emphasize variability. Shaft options from KBS, grips from Golf Pride, and numerous combinations allow clubfitters and players to optimize their setups. The new irons are available for preorder fitting sessions starting December 4, 2025, with official retail release on February 6, 2026. The six-iron set costs 1,049 euros, available in both steel and graphite shafts.
