End-of-Year Fun: When Will Bennett Scheffler Complete the Slam?

Koepka’s suspension, Pereira’s retirement, McIlroy’s club list, Müller’s swing tips, and a Robin Williams classic. The year-end Back Nine.

Scottie Scheffler is just one title away from completing the career Grand Slam. After wins at the Masters, PGA Championship, and The Open, only the U.S. Open remains. With the 126th edition set for Shinnecock Hills in six months, the odds are in his favor. Bookmakers already have the world number one as the favorite for all four majors in 2026.

Given Scheffler’s dominance, Golf Digest playfully speculated on when his son, Bennett, might complete his own “experienced” Grand Slam. The toddler, who turns two in May, has already attended two major wins. He missed the 2024 Masters due to being in utero, but with dad favored at every major, Bennett might soon check off all four as a spectator.

Koepka’s PGA Tour Return Timeline

Brooks Koepka could be eligible to return to the PGA Tour in August 2026, once his one-year suspension following his last LIV Golf appearance expires—if he chooses to reapply. Meanwhile, Mito Pereira has announced his retirement from professional golf. The 30-year-old Chilean plans to focus on family life back home.

Sergio Garcia, on the other hand, has extended his LIV Golf contract and added Luis Masaveu to his all-Spanish Fireballs GC team, which also includes Jose Ballester and David Puig.

McIlroy’s 18 Club Memberships

Rory McIlroy is not just a five-time major winner—he’s also a member of 18 golf clubs worldwide. From his home club Holywood GC to prestigious names like The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and Seminole GC, where he also sponsors his father’s membership, McIlroy’s club list is as elite as his game.
