The DP World Tour returns with a high-caliber start. The new season of Race to Dubai kicks off at Dubai Creek Resort with the Dubai Invitational, marking the beginning of the International Swing. The event runs from January 15 to 18, starting with three Pro-Am days featuring 60 professionals and 60 amateurs, concluding with a final day where only pros compete for the year’s first title. The field includes defending champion Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Patrick Reed, Danny Willett, Francesco Molinari, and the German duo Marcel Siem and Nicolai von Dellingshausen competing for a purse of 2,750,000 USD. DP World Tour: German Participation at Season Start
On Thursday, Siem and von Dellingshausen tee off early. Von Dellingshausen starts at 7:47 AM local time from Tee 10 alongside Eugenio Chacarra, while Siem begins at 6:36 AM from Tee 1 with Calum Hill. On Friday, starting tees are swapped: Von Dellingshausen tees at 6:14 AM (Tee 1), Siem at 7:58 AM (Tee 10).
One of the tournament’s early groups draws special interest: Rory McIlroy tees off at 6:30 AM on Tee 10 with Shane Lowry. The Northern Irish and Irish players form one of the strongest pairings at the Dubai Invitational; they return in round two at 7:42 AM from Tee 1.
