Patrick Reed wins in Dubai, Andy Sullivan finishes second. German-speaking players like Schneider and others finish mid-field.
American Patrick Reed secured the title at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour, held at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, the gem of the Persian Gulf in the United Arab Emirates. Although Reed couldn’t match his earlier rounds on the final day, an even-par round was enough for the pro from San Antonio, Texas to claim victory.
Mixed Final Day Suffices for Victory
Reed made mistakes on the front nine, recording at least one bogey. On the back nine, he evened out his earlier error on the 10th hole but missed two attempts on the green at the 11th hole, resulting in another bogey. He recovered again on the 13th hole. Finishing with a total of 14 under par, Reed won comfortably ahead of Frenchman Julien Guerrier, Spaniard David Puig, and Englishman Andy Sullivan. The win shot Reed up in the Race to Dubai standings from 107th to 2nd place.

DP World Tour: Sullivan Secures Second Place
Andy Sullivan demonstrated resilience in the final meters of the final round, securing sole second place. The Englishman struggled on the front nine with four bogeys and just one birdie. However, he recovered on the back nine with four birdies and managed a 71 round. He birdied the 18th hole as well, clinching second place. With 10 under par, he remained behind Reed but held off pressure from third-placers David Puig and Julien Guerrier.
David Puig finished the final round with a 73, tying with Julien Guerrier at nine under par overall. Guerrier moved up seven spots on the leaderboard with a strong 69 round.
German-speaking Players Finish Mid-Field
The four German-speaking players who made the cut finished in mid to lower mid-field positions.
