Marcel Schneider’s Nearly Flawless Performance on the DP World Tour

The third round of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour featured four remaining German-speaking players. Marcel Schneider particularly impressed on Moving Day in Dubai. The German had a nearly flawless round, climbing the leaderboard early. Three birdies on the front nine laid the foundation for his strong performance. His excellent short game also paid off. Two more birdies on the back nine were offset by just one bogey on the 17th hole. With a day score of -4, Schneider positions himself in the top 20 going into the final day, competing for top positions.

Patrick Reed Pulls Ahead Before Final Day

At the top, Patrick Reed managed to extend his lead. After a mixed front nine, the American added three birdies on the back nine and played error-free otherwise. He enters the final day with a -5 round for a total of -14, four shots ahead. \”It is always great to start Sunday with the lead. We all play for the chance to win on Sunday. I know it won’t be easy, it never is, no matter how big the lead,\” Reed commented.

David Puig is the closest chaser, posting a strong -6 on Saturday with just one bogey and seven birdies, reaching -10 after three days. Also impressive was Viktor Hovland, who recorded a bogey-free round with seven birdies, moving to -9 and tied for third place alongside Andy Sullivan entering the final round.
