Marcel Schneider delivers near flawless performance on the DP World Tour
The third round of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour started with four remaining German-speaking players in the field. Marcel Schneider particularly shined on the Moving Day in Dubai. The German played an almost flawless round, climbing early up the leaderboard. Three birdies on the front nine set the foundation for his strong performance. His excellent short game proved especially valuable. Two additional birdies were scored with only one bogey on the 17th hole. With a round of -4, Schneider positions himself inside the top 20 going into the final day, contending for top positions.
Patrick Reed extends lead ahead of final round
At the top, Patrick Reed managed to extend his lead. After a mixed front nine, the American fired three birdies on the back nine, maintaining a clean card otherwise. He posted a round of -5 and holds a four-stroke lead at -14 heading into the final day.

David Puig is the nearest chaser with a strong -6 on Saturday, posting seven birdies and only one bogey, now standing at -10 after three rounds. Viktor Hovland also impressed with a bogey-free round featuring seven birdies, putting him tied for third at -9 alongside Andy Sullivan heading into the last round.
Three more German-speaking players make top 50 after strong back nine
Behind Schneider, three other German-speaking players positioned themselves inside the top 50 going into the final day. Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Freddy Schott and Joel Girrbach are all tied at -1.
Freddy Schott had a slow start with eight pars and a bogey on the front nine but surged on the back nine, recording four birdies with only one more bogey for a -2 round.
