Marcel Schneider Delivers Nearly Flawless Performance at DP World Tour

The third round of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour featured four remaining German-speaking players. Marcel Schneider particularly shone on Moving Day in Dubai. The German recorded a near-flawless round, climbing early up the leaderboard. Three birdies on the front nine set the foundation for his strong performance, especially his excellent play around the greens. Two more birdies were offset by a single bogey on the 17th hole. With a day score of -4, Schneider positions himself in the top 20 ahead of the final day, contending for top placements.

Patrick Reed Pulls Ahead Before Final Round

At the top, Patrick Reed extended his lead. After a mixed front nine, the American made three birdies on the back nine while playing error-free, finishing the day with a -5 and a total of -14, holding a four-shot advantage going into the final round.

\”It’s always great to start Sunday in the lead. We’re all playing for that chance to win on Sunday. I know it won’t be easy, it’s never easy regardless of how big the lead is,\” Reed said.

Direct chaser David Puig carded a strong -6 on Saturday with only one bogey and seven birdies, moving to -10 overall after three days. Viktor Hovland also impressed with a bogey-free round featuring seven birdies, placing him tied for third at -9 alongside Andy Sullivan heading into the final round.

Three More German-Speaking Players in Top 50 After Strong Back Nine

Behind Schneider, three further German-speaking players secured spots in the top 50 ahead of the final day. Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Freddy Schott, and Joel Girrbach are tied at -1.
