The third round of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour began with four German-speaking players still in the field. Marcel Schneider particularly shone on Moving Day in Dubai. The German recorded an almost flawless round, climbing early on the leaderboard. Three birdies in the first nine holes laid the foundation for his strong round, with impressive short game skills proving crucial. Two additional birdies were offset by one bogey on the 17th hole. With a day score of -4, Schneider positions himself inside the top 20 going into the final day, contending for top spots.
Patrick Reed extends his lead ahead of the final day
At the top of the leaderboard, Patrick Reed pulled ahead. After a mixed front nine, the American added three birdies on the back nine and remained bogey-free. He carded a day score of -5 and a total of -14, giving him a four-shot lead going into the final round.

David Puig is the closest chaser after a strong Saturday with -6, including seven birdies and only one bogey, bringing him to -10 after three days. Viktor Hovland also delivered a bogey-free round with seven birdies, moving to -9 and tied for third place with Andy Sullivan going into the last round.

Behind Schneider, three more German-speaking players positioned themselves in the top 50 before the final day, all tied at -1. Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Freddy Schott, and Joel Girrbach each made their mark.
