Marcel Schneider positions himself in the top 20 with a -4 moving day round at the DP World Tour, while Patrick Reed extends his lead.
Marcel Schneider Delivers Nearly Flawless Performance on DP World Tour
The third round of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour started with four German-speaking players still in the field. Marcel Schneider, in particular, shined on the moving day in Dubai. The German delivered a nearly flawless round, climbing early up the leaderboard. Three birdies on the front nine laid the foundation for his strong round, with impressive green-side play contributing significantly. Two more birdies on the back nine were offset by a single bogey on the 17th hole. With a -4 round, Schneider positions himself in the top 20 heading into the final day, contending for top spots.
Patrick Reed Pulls Ahead Before Final Day
At the top, Patrick Reed was able to pull away. After a mixed front nine, the American birdied three holes on the back nine without a bogey, posting a -5 round and reaching -14 overall. He leads by four strokes going into the final day.
\”It’s always exciting to start Sunday with the lead. We all play for a chance to win on Sunday. I know it won’t be easy, it never is, regardless of how big the lead is,\” Reed said.
