The third round of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour featured four remaining German-speaking players. Marcel Schneider especially shone on Moving Day in Dubai. The German had an almost flawless day, climbing early up the leaderboard. Three birdies on the front nine laid the foundation for his strong round. His excellent short game proved crucial. Two more birdies on the back nine were offset by just one bogey on the 17th. With a day score of -4, Schneider enters the final day in the top 20 and is contending for top positions.
Patrick Reed extends lead before final round
At the top, Patrick Reed pulled away. After a mixed front nine, the American added three birdies on the back nine without any bogeys. He carded a -5 for the day and holds a four-shot lead at -14 overall heading into the final round.

Direct chaser David Puig produced a strong -6 on Saturday, with only one bogey and seven birdies moving him to -10 after three rounds. Viktor Hovland also impressed with a bogey-free round including seven birdies, putting him tied for third at -9 alongside Andy Sullivan ahead of the final day.

Behind Schneider, three more German-speaking players positioned themselves in the top 50 heading into the final day. Tied at -1 are Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Freddy Schott, and Joel Girrbach.
