Nacho Elvira claimed victory at the Dubai Invitational, edging out Shane Lowry, Rory McIlroy, and David Hillier. Marcel Siem finishes in the top 15.
Nacho Elvira won a gripping battle against high-caliber competitors to secure the first DP World Tour title of the year. The Spaniard had built a three-stroke lead but faced challenges with bogeys at the end of the front nine and a water hazard on the 10th hole. While he managed to secure par there, it opened the door for rivals including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, David Hillier, and Marcus Armitage, who all shared the lead midway through the final round.
DP World Tour: Exciting Final Battle at Dubai Invitational
McIlroy surged into a shared lead with five consecutive birdies, but a bogey on the 18th dropped him back. Shane Lowry broke away from the pack, taking sole control with a spectacular putt on the 15th hole.

Elvira matched Lowry at the 17th, setting up a head-to-head duel at the 18th. Despite missing the green, Elvira held steady with a solid par. Lowry, however, found trouble; his second shot landed in the bunker and then rolled into the water hazard beyond the green. The resulting double bogey dropped him to third place, tied with McIlroy.
This victory marked Elvira’s third on the DP World Tour, with his previous win at the Soudal Open in May 2024.
Other Notable Performances
Marcel Siem had a strong start to the new year’s final day, climbing to tied-13th place with a 66. Despite nine birdies, four bogeys due to missed greens kept him just outside the top 10. He encountered a challenging moment at the 18th where a penalty drop near a water hazard cost him a par save by a narrow margin, ultimately moving up 12 spots
