Freddy Schott is battling for the lead ahead of the final day of the DP World Tour in Bahrain. Von Dellingshausen and Girrbach are positioned in the top 20.
Schott Fights for Top Spot on Moving Day at DP World Tour in Bahrain
Freddy Schott fought on day three of the DP World Tour in Bahrain for the lead before the final round. With a flawless front nine featuring four birdies, he took the early lead from Calum Hill. Hill lost his two-stroke advantage quickly with three bogeys and just one birdie on the first six holes. Schott matched Hill with birdies on holes 3 and 5 and extended his lead further at 8 and 9 with precise shots and safe putts.

However, bogeys on holes 12 and 13 followed. Tied again with Hill, both players birdied the 14th to reach a temporary total score of -15. Calum Hill reclaimed the lead with another birdie on 15, while Schott could not mount a decisive attack and recorded an unfortunate bogey on 18. Hill enters the final day leading by two strokes (-16) over Schott (-14).
International Contenders Increase the Pressure
Close behind Hill and Schott are international contenders, including last week’s winner Patrick Reed. The American, who announced his departure from LIV Golf and comeback to the PGA Tour this summer, started the third round strongly.
Reed opened with a birdie followed by three more in the first six holes. Remaining aggressive on the back nine, he birdied the 10th and eagled the 13th. Thanks to precise iron shots and solid putting, he stood at -7 for the day through 13 holes. A bogey on 16 slowed him slightly, but he posted a 6-under round and is now at -12 overall.
