Freddy Schott positioned himself strongly for the weekend at the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship on the DP World Tour with a second-round 67. Sitting at 12 under par, he leads the chase pack by four strokes. Ahead of him is Scotsman Calum Hill, who set the course record with a 61. Nicolai Von Dellingshausen shot a 1 under par round and lies in a promising 14th place, just one stroke behind the large chase group. Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider missed the cut.

DP World Tour: Freddy Schott’s Second Eagle of the Week

After an excellent round on Thursday, Freddy Schott aimed to maintain his form on Friday to position himself well for the weekend. He started strong, securing a birdie on hole 1. Despite a slightly off drive on hole 3 and his second shot landing in the rough, Schott managed to recover and card his second birdie of the day. A third birdie came on hole 9, putting him at 3 under on the front nine. On the back nine, he added birdies at hole 13 and an eagle on hole 14 from just under 7 meters after two precise shots. Two bogeys, including one on the final hole, balanced out the score, ending his day at 5 under par and placing him second going into the weekend.

Nicolai Von Dellingshausen was unable to replicate his previous day’s performance fully, finishing the day at 1 under par and dropping to 14th place.
