DP World Tour: Freddy Schott’s Second Eagle of the Week
Following an excellent Thursday round, Freddy Schott aimed to maintain his performance on Friday and secure a strong position for the weekend. From the outset, he delivered, starting with a neat shot on hole one, sinking his first birdie of the day. Despite a slightly errant drive on hole three and finding the rough with his second shot, he recovered impressively to make another birdie. He added a third birdie on hole nine, finishing the front nine at three under par. On the back nine, Schott birdied 13 before executing two perfect shots on 14 to convert a nearly seven-meter eagle putt, marking his second eagle of the week. Though not flawless, Schott concluded his round with a bogey on hole 15, a last birdie on 17, and a bogey on the final hole, resulting in a five under par round to start the weekend in second place.
Nicolai Von Dellingshausen was unable to replicate his previous day’s performance, finishing the day at one under par and dropping to 14th place. Starting on the back nine, he played error-free golf for much of the round and began with a birdie on his first hole. Further birdies on 13 and 1 kept him near the front, but two poor shots on hole three and a missed short putt on hole seven led to two bogeys at the end of his round. Nevertheless, Von Dellingshausen remains in contention at seven under par, just one stroke behind the leading chase group sharing fourth place.
