The second round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, took place at La Réserve Golf Links in Bel Ombre, Mauritius. Despite occasional rain and coastal winds, German golfers Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider made significant moves up the leaderboard.
Siem and Schneider Break into Top 20
Marcel Schneider opened his round with four birdies on the front nine, offsetting a single bogey on the 9th. He added two more birdies on the back nine before finishing with another bogey on the 18th, carding a 68 to sit at four-under-par and tied for 20th.
Marcel Siem matched that position with an impressive 67, featuring eight birdies and two bogeys. After an over-par round on day one, the German veteran bounced back to join Schneider at T20.
