DP World Tour: Siem and Schneider Climb Leaderboard in Mauritius

Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider posted strong rounds at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, moving into the top 20.

The second round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, took place at La Réserve Golf Links in Bel Ombre, Mauritius. Despite occasional rain and coastal winds, German golfers Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider made significant moves up the leaderboard.

Siem and Schneider Break into Top 20

Marcel Schneider opened his round with four birdies on the front nine, offsetting a single bogey on the 9th. He added two more birdies on the back nine before finishing with another bogey on the 18th, carding a 68 to sit at four-under-par and tied for 20th.

Marcel Siem matched that position with an impressive 67, featuring eight birdies and two bogeys. After an over-par round on day one, the German veteran bounced back to join Schneider at T20.

Nick Bachem also remained consistent, shooting a 70 with four birdies and two bogeys. At two-under-par, he sits tied for 37th, maintaining a solid position heading into the weekend.

Mixed Results for German Contingent

Dominic Foos had a turbulent round. After a promising start with a birdie, a double bogey on the 8th hole disrupted his momentum. He added three more birdies but also recorded two bogeys and another double bogey, finishing with a 75 and missing the cut at T116.

Allen John Withdraws Mid-Round

Allen John began his round on the 10th hole but struggled with three bogeys and a double bogey. He withdrew midway through the round, ending his tournament at 14-over-par after one and a half rounds.

At the top of the leaderboard, South Africa’s Casey Jarvis leads at 12-under after a 65. He holds a two-shot lead
