Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider posted strong second rounds to move into the top 20 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.
The second round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, took place at La Réserve Golf Links in Bel Ombre, Mauritius. Despite occasional rain and coastal winds, German players Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider made notable moves up the leaderboard.
Siem and Schneider Break into the Top 20
Marcel Schneider opened his round with four birdies on the front nine, offsetting a single bogey at the 9th. He added two more birdies on the back nine before a closing bogey, finishing with a 68 to reach four-under-par and tie for 20th place.
Marcel Siem matched Schneider’s total score with a stellar 67, carding eight birdies and two bogeys. After an over-par opening round, Siem’s local experience helped him rebound and climb into a tie for 20th.

Allen John Withdraws from DP World Tour Event
Allen John began on the 10th hole and recorded three bogeys and a double bogey before withdrawing midway through his round. He exited the tournament at 14-over-par after one and a half rounds.
At the top of the leaderboard, South Africa’s Casey Jarvis shot a solid 65 to reach 12-under-par, holding a two-shot lead over France’s Alexander Levy, who carded a bogey-free 66. Spain’s Manuel Elvira is just one shot behind Levy after a 67 that included seven birdies and two bogeys.
