The second round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, took place at La Réserve Golf Links in Bel Ombre on the island of Mauritius. Despite intermittent rain and coastal winds, German players Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider made notable progress on the leaderboard.
Siem and Schneider Break into Top 20
Marcel Schneider opened his round with four birdies on the front nine, offsetting a bogey on the 9th. He added two more birdies on the back nine before closing with another bogey, finishing with a 68 (-4) and moving into a tie for 20th place.
Marcel Siem matched Schneider’s position with a 67 (-5), highlighted by eight birdies and two bogeys. After a disappointing over-par round on day one, Siem’s local knowledge helped him rebound and climb the leaderboard.

Mixed Results for Other German Players
Nick Bachem continued his steady play with a 70 (-2), carding four birdies and two bogeys to sit tied for 37th. His consistent performance keeps him in contention heading into the weekend.
Dominic Foos struggled again, despite an early birdie. A double bogey on the 8th derailed his momentum, and further mistakes on the back nine led to a 75 (+3). He missed the cut, finishing tied for 116th.
Allen John Withdraws, Jarvis Leads
Allen John withdrew midway through his second round after carding three bogeys and a double bogey. He ended his tournament at +14 after one-and-a-half rounds.
