The second round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, took place at La Réserve Golf Links in Bel Ombre on the island of Mauritius. Despite occasional rain and coastal winds, German players Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider moved closer to the top 20.
Siem and Schneider Climb into Top 20
Marcel Schneider opened his round with four birdies on the front nine, offsetting a bogey at the 9th. He added two more birdies on the back nine before finishing with a bogey on the final hole. His 68 (-4) placed him tied for 20th.
Marcel Siem matched that position with a strong 67 (-5), carding eight birdies and two bogeys. After an over-par opening round, Siem’s performance brought him back into contention.

Nick Bachem also remained steady, balancing two bogeys with four birdies for a 70 (-2). He sits tied for 37th, maintaining a solid position heading into the weekend.
Mixed Fortunes for German Contingent
Dominic Foos had a turbulent round. After a promising start with a birdie, a double bogey on the 8th derailed his momentum. Despite three birdies on the back nine, additional bogeys and another double bogey led to a 75 (+3), leaving him tied for 116th and missing the cut.
Allen John Withdraws Mid-Round
Allen John began on the 10th hole but struggled with three bogeys and a double bogey. He withdrew midway through the round, finishing with a cumulative score of +14 over three nine-hole segments.
