Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider posted strong rounds at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, moving into the top 20.

The second round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, brought success for several German players at La Réserve Golf Links in Bel Ombre, Mauritius. Despite occasional rain and coastal winds, Marcel Siem and Marcel Schneider climbed the leaderboard with impressive performances.

Siem and Schneider Break into the Top 20

Marcel Schneider opened his round with four birdies on the front nine, offsetting a single bogey on the 9th. He added two more birdies on the back nine before closing with another bogey, finishing with a 68 and moving to four-under-par, tied for 20th place.

Marcel Siem matched Schneider’s position with a stellar 67, carding eight birdies and two bogeys. After a disappointing opening round over par, Siem’s local course knowledge seemed to pay off on day two.

Allen John struggled early in his round with three bogeys and a double bogey before withdrawing midway through the second round. He exited the tournament at 14-over-par after playing three nine-hole segments.
