Gregor Biernath: “Something New and Positive is Emerging for Golf”

Gregor Biernath, one of the most recognized golf voices in the German-speaking region, is moving from Sky to MagentaTV. Leading the new expert team, he will be supported by golf experts Florian Zunker, Bernd Ritthammer, and Max Kramer. Regarding his move, Biernath said: “The entire team immediately gave me the feeling that something new and positive can emerge for golf. We can shape and revitalize golf coverage innovatively at MagentaTV.” He also described the new team as a “cool editorial team” and spoke of a “really good mix.”

New commentators have also been recruited. Michael Born, previously known for handball and football commentary at DAZN, will join Herbert Gogel and Stephan Gandel to cover golf events. Additionally, Holger Speckhahn, known especially for ice hockey coverage on MagentaSport, will also participate in the upcoming live broadcasts.
