Gregor Biernath: ‘Something New and Good for Golf is Emerging’

Gregor Biernath, one of the most recognized golf voices in the German-speaking world, is moving from Sky to MagentaTV. He will lead the new expert team, supported by golf experts Florian Zunker, Bernd Ritthammer, and Max Kramer. Biernath said regarding his move: ‘The whole team immediately gave me the feeling that something new and good for golf can emerge here. We can innovate and shake up golf coverage at MagentaTV.’ He also described the new team as a ‘cool editorial team’ and spoke of a ‘really good mix.’

New faces have also been brought in among the commentators. Michael Born, previously known from handball and soccer commentary at DAZN, will join Herbert Gogel and Stephan Gandel to commentate on golf events. Additionally, Holger Speckhahn, known mainly as an ice hockey presenter for MagentaSport, will also accompany the upcoming live broadcasts.
