Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.
The PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded the 2025 PGA Champions Tour season. Played in a two-round scramble format, the family-team event saw Team Kuchar emerge victorious ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. Bernhard Langer and his son Jason finished tied for seventh, while fan favorite John Daly and his son John II claimed a share of second place.
Team Kuchar, featuring 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, dominated from the start. They opened with a flawless round of 15 birdies and followed up with 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday, finishing at 33-under-par to secure the win.
Sharing second place at 26-under-par were Team Daly and Team Love. John Daly and his son John II impressed with back-to-back 59s, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru opened with a 60 and followed it with a bogey-free round of 14 birdies to stay in contention.
Nelly Korda shines in family format
Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker teamed up with his daughter Izzi, and they tied for fourth at 25-under-par with Team Korda. LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda, the only active LPGA player in the field, played alongside her father Petr. They posted rounds of 60 and 59 to finish strong.
Bernhard Langer falls short of podium
Two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, last year’s winners, couldn’t repeat their success. They opened with a bogey-free 61 and improved to a 60 on Sunday, finishing at 23-under-par and tied for seventh place.
