Team Kuchar wins PNC Championship, Langers finish T7

Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, marked the season finale of the 2025 PGA Champions Tour. Played in a two-round scramble format, the family team event saw Team Kuchar emerge victorious ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. Among the field were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, who finished T7, and fan favorite John Daly with his son John II, who tied for second.

Team Kuchar, consisting of 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, delivered a dominant performance. On Saturday, they carded a flawless round with 15 birdies, setting an early benchmark at 15-under-par. They followed up with 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday, finishing at an impressive 33-under-par to claim the title.

Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par to share second place. John Daly and his son John II posted a strong opening round with nine birdies and two eagles, repeating the feat on Sunday with another 59. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru opened with a 60 (-12) and followed up with 14 birdies on Sunday to stay in contention.

Nelly Korda shines in family format

Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker teamed up with his daughter Izzi, finishing T4 at 25-under-par. They shared the spot with Team Korda, featuring two-time major winner and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda, the only LPGA Tour player in the field. Nelly and her father Petr opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday.

Defending champions Langer and son finish T7

Germany’s Bernhard Langer, a two-time Masters champion, and his son Jason could not repeat their previous year’s success. They opened with a bogey-free 61 (-11) and improved to a 60 (-10) on Sunday, finishing at 23-under-par and tied for seventh place.
