Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.
The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking the title. The event, marking the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour, featured a family-team scramble format over two rounds. Among the field were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, who finished tied for seventh, and fan favorite John Daly with his son John II, who tied for second.
Team Kuchar dominates the field
Matt Kuchar, a 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion, teamed up with his son Cameron to deliver a commanding performance. On Saturday, they posted a flawless round with 15 birdies. They followed up on Sunday with 14 birdies and two eagles, finishing at 33-under-par to secure a comfortable victory.
Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par. John Daly and his son John II impressed with two 59s, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru opened with a 60 and followed up with 14 birdies on Sunday to share second place.
Nelly Korda shines in mixed field
Steven Stricker, former Ryder Cup captain, played alongside his daughter Izzi, finishing tied for fourth at 25-under-par. Sharing that position was Team Korda, featuring LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. They opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 in the final round, making Nelly the only active LPGA player in the field.
Bernhard Langer finishes T7
Two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, the defending champions, started with a bogey-free 61 (-11) and improved to a 60 (-10) on Sunday. Despite their strong play, they finished tied for seventh at 23-under-par, missing out on a podium finish this year.
